In February 2024, the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation (IPOEF) hosted the Why Didn’t I Think of That? competition to celebrate inventors who protected what they created and pursued intellectual property (IP) protection before the age of 18. The competition was held in partnership with Ohio Invention League, Connecticut Invention Convention, and California Invention Convention. Young IP owners from across the country have submitted their inventions and 9 inventions have been selected to advance to the final round – including Ohio’s very own Tarun, Sanvi, and Ava-Elizabeth!
