Congratulations to Savetka Brazie, from Kettering City Schools. Savetka, born and raised in the Republic of Macedonia, has been a part of the district since 2006, starting as a German language teacher in the high school. Her teaching journey eventually led her to a position with the gifted intervention specialist team, working in two elementary schools. Savetka told us she loves her work because of the collaboration. Over the years her students have shown her that they care about making a difference. She says, “We are on a mission to repair the world and it is beautiful to watch their ideas become reality.” She said, “The Invention Convention Program perfectly aligns with our district’s portrait of a graduate. The students have the opportunity to grow as problem-solvers, thoughtful communicators and engaged global citizens. Additionally, it is a wonderful link between all stakeholders: school, family, and community. The success of each student is success for us all!
